Who we are
Helping Associates, Inc. (HAI) was co-founded in 1982 by Dr. Antonio Estrada and Dr. Joan McGillicuddy, who serve as Co-Directors of this organization. Their commitment is to improving the quality of life in Arizona, and HAI has been serving Central Arizona ever since the founding date.
Dr. Joan McGillicuddy, Ph.D., L.P.C. is a Co-Director of HAI, a Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a Doctoral Degree in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling Psychology. She is a dynamic, energetic and humorous therapist and teacher. All Associate Counselors are well trained and skilled in understanding the needs of individuals and offering viable solutions to life's challenges. Nearly all Associate Counselors are licensed by the State of Arizona. Dr. McGillicuddy and Dr. Estrada have built their practice to the current level of employing 17 clinicians and 10 support staff to serve over 750 individuals weekly.
Dr. Antonio Estrada, Ph.D., holds a Doctoral Degree in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling Psychology. He is a Co-Director of Helping Associates, Inc. (HAI), an award-winning lecturer, and a renowned therapist. Antonio is a warm, compassionate, and intuitive therapist, and teacher. Returning from combat service in Vietnam as a young man, he was inspired to pursue a career in human services, psychotherapy, management and human potential. In addition to training extensively with Dr. Jose Silva, founder of Silva Mind Development, he has trained with the Harvard Medical School, The Menninger Foundation, and The Institute for Rational Living. . He deeply impacts participants with his enthusiasm, expertise and experience. Antonio specializes in relaxation training, professional self-empowerment coaching and helping people realize their full potential.
